Taurasi Scores 12 Points in First Quarter

Diana Taurasi scored 12 of her 23 points in the first quarter, leading the Phoenix Mercury to an 86-68 win over the Chicago Sky on Tuesday night. It was Phoenix's highest-scoring first quarter of the season.

Cunningham Records First Career Double-Double

Skylar Diggins-Smith added 17 points for Phoenix, while Brittney Griner scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. Kia Nurse also reached double figures with 10 points.

Allie Quigley led the Sky with 18 points, while Kahleah Copper added 16 points and Candace Parker scored 13 points.

The Mercury improved to 10-6 with the win, while the Sky fell to 3-13.
